Keeping the Procedure Status updated is essential for both patient management and accurate business reporting.
The Procedure Status (Confirmed, Undecided, or Declined) directly impacts the metrics displayed in your Business Dashboard, including:
- Conversion Rate
- Revenue at Risk
- Revenue Recovered
- Overall sales performance insights
If procedure statuses are not updated correctly, your dashboard metrics and financial reporting may not accurately reflect your clinic's performance. For this reason, it is important to update each patient's status as soon as a decision is made.
Update the Procedure Status from the Patient Record:
- Open the Patient list
- Select the desired patient
- Open the Procedures tab
- Locate the procedure you want to update
- Under the question:
“Will the patient undergo the procedure?”
Select one of the following options:
- Yes (Confirmed) – The patient has decided to proceed with the procedure.
- Undecided – The patient is still considering the procedure.
- No (Declined) – The patient has decided not to proceed. - Click Save to confirm and update the status
Update the Procedure Status directly from the Business Dashboard:
Several dashboard sections display patients based on their current status and follow-up needs.
To update a status from the dashboard:
- Open the Business Dashboard.
- Click on the dedicated section that mentions about patients and their statuses.
- A dedicated Procedure Status modal will open.
- Review the listed patients and their current statuses.
- Update the status directly within the modal.
Changes are saved immediately and reflected in your dashboard metrics.
Best Practice
Update the procedure status immediately after a consultation or as soon as the patient communicates their decision. Keeping statuses current ensures that your Business Dashboard accurately reflects your clinic's opportunities, conversion performance, and projected revenue.
