This procedure describes the steps to follow to obtain a good quality 3D model for breast.
Make sure that you have taken the photos following the recommendations of the article How to take breast photos; tips and tricks.
- On the main menu on the left, select Patients.
- Select New patient.
- Select Breast and Add patient.
- Measure the distance between your patient's nipples and enter the value on the field provided.
It is very important that you take this measurement with your patient's arms in exactly the same position as in the photos you took.
- Open Edit breast dimensions to enter additional data related to your patient's breast like diameters, the skin envelope, or the pinch measurement.
You can find out more about them in the article Defining your own breast sizing criteria. - Select Select photos to upload, one by one, the breast photos.
An operating system window opens to select the images stored in your device. - Upload the photos in the order described: Left, Front, Right.
As soon as you upload a photo, the Rotate-left and Rotate-right icons are made available. Use them at your convenience until you get an upright photo.
If you uploaded the wrong photo or are not happy with it, use the Trash icon to remove it. - Select Create 3D.
Wait until your 3D model is generated. This may take a while. - Analyse the quality and accuracy of the 3D model generated.
For that, you can rotate the model sideways and up and down.- Select No if you do not like the quality of the 3D model.
Select new photos to upload them and select Recreate 3D. - Select Yes if you think the quality of the 3D model is good.
Your screen is split in two: the "before" model is on the left, while, on the 3D model to the right, you can start with the simulation process.
- Select No if you do not like the quality of the 3D model.
You have created a breast 3D model for a specific patient and can start with the simulation process.
